Michael’s greatest asset to fiction writers is his extensive knowledge and understanding of story concepts, plot structure, character development, love stories and themes. Whether you’re formulating your story concept, have a completed synopsis or manuscript, or are ready to pitch your project, he has designed these packages to elicit a powerful emotional response in readers, editors and publishers.
THE STORY DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE
DESIGNED FOR: Novelists at the early stages of selecting and defining their stories, but who have not completed their manuscript.
With this package, Michael will:
- Review (if requested) up to six 1-paragraph story concepts and help you select the one that has the best combination of your own passion, strong commercial appeal, and artistic potential
- Review an outline or treatment of your story up to 5 pages
- Lead an initial coaching session to address all the elements of the story, including concept, character, plot structure, theme, commerciality, and possible markets for the project
- Read a revised outline of up to four pages
- Conduct a final coaching session to help you make sure the story is strong enough to begin the first draft of your novel

THE MANUSCRIPT COACHING PACKAGE
DESIGNED FOR: Novelists wanting Michael’s guidance in selecting, developing and completing or rewriting a synopsis and the opening chapters of a commercially viable manuscript for submission to editors, publishers and agents.

With this package, Michael will:
- Complete an initial read of the opening 20-30 pages of your manuscript
- Read a synopsis of the entire story (up to 10 pages)
- Lead a one-on-one coaching session of up to 2 ½ hours to discuss all aspects of your story and style
- Read your rewritten opening pages and synopsis
- Conduct a second coaching session of up to 2 ½ hours to discuss all aspects of your submission
- Provide a half-hour follow up session within one month of the final coaching session to discuss your ideas for the next draft or polish of your manuscript
COST: $2000
All additional hours purchased after completion of this package will be offered at the discounted rate of $250/hr.
THE PITCHING PACKAGE
DESIGNED FOR: Novelists with completed manuscripts, treatments or proposals for novels who want to be able to pitch their projects powerfully enough that agents, editors, and/or publishers will want to read their work.

THE HOURLY DISCOUNT PACKAGE
Michael’s basic fee is $300 per hour, but if you would like to purchase a block of hours, we’re offering a discounted rate of 6 hours for $1500.
